Portable Radiography + Ultrasonography + endoscopy

Pre-purchase examinations/ ‘vettings’ act as a thorough assessment of an animal to determine if they are fit for their new intended purpose. They are a standardised set of investigations performed on behalf of the purchaser, to uncover any ailment which may compromise a successful career.

Vetting’s are offered as either 2 stage or 5 stage, therefore it is up to the purchaser to decide how much investigation they deem acceptable. Extra investigations such as radiography, blood test, or endoscopy are also possible to be added. The stages are defined below:

2 stage

• Thorough examination: eyes, teeth, limbs, feet, and the resting heart

• Gait assessment: observing walking and trotting on a firm, flat surface

5 stage

• ‘’ (2 stage vetting)

• Strenuous exercise

• Assess recovery and rest

• Second gait and foot assessment
