We are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding team of RVNs at Archway Veterinary Practice.

Our fantastic premises are spacious, well-designed and enable you to work with the industry’s most advanced equipment, including the complete range of Idexx lab equipment, VVS guided ultrasound, Adaptix 3D X-ray system and our latest investment of a Canon 80/160 slice CT scanner, the first in a first opinion practice.

Job Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Archway Veterinary Practice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Carrying out hands on nursing procedures, including monitoring anaesthesia, administering medications, and providing post-operative care.

- Provide inpatient out-of-hours care when on-call with the support of a vet.

- Conducting laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging.

- Providing nursing care to in-patients and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

- Running nurse clinics, including senior health check and mobility assessments.

- Assisting with client education, offering advice on pet care, medications, and treatments.

- Collaborating with the whole veterinary team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care.

- Assisting veterinarians in surgical procedures and consultations.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.

- Assist our client care team with reception duties, including meeting and greeting clients face-to-face and assisting with phone calls.

Requirements

- Hold Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) certification.

- Possess a genuine love for animals and a passion for providing the highest quality of veterinary care.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and connect with clients and colleagues.

- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to handle a varied workload.

- Proficient in the use of veterinary software and computer systems.

- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and participate in an on-call rota (1in 5 currently).
